Orders and Payments

Q: How do I place an order?
A: Simply browse our collection of hand-painted tote bags, add your favorite designs to your cart, and proceed to checkout. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your order is placed.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept major credit/debit cards and PayPal. All payments are processed securely.

Q: Can I make changes to my order?
A: Yes, changes or cancellations can be requested within 24-48 hours of placing your order by emailing us at designssbymare@gmail.com.


Shipping and Delivery

Q: Where do you ship to?
A: We offer both domestic and international shipping. Domestic shipping is available within the United States, and we ship internationally to most countries worldwide.

Q: How long does delivery take?
A: For domestic orders, delivery typically takes 3-7 business days. International orders usually take 10-20 business days, depending on the destination and customs clearance. Please note that delays may occur due to weather, customs, or courier issues.

Q: How much does shipping cost?
A: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location.

Q: How can I track my order?
A: Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number via email to monitor your package’s progress.


Returns and Refunds

Q: What is your return policy?
A: Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, all sales are final. However, if your tote bag arrives defective, please contact us within 10-15 days of receiving your order for assistance.

Q: How do I request a refund for a defective item?
A: Email us at designssbymare@gmail.com with photos of the defect. Approved refunds will be processed within 10-15 business days.


Product Care

Q: How should I care for my hand-painted tote bag?
A: To keep your tote bag looking its best, spot clean with a damp cloth. Avoid machine washing or using harsh detergents to preserve the design.

Q: Are your tote bags environmentally friendly?
A: Yes, all of our tote bags are made from eco-friendly materials such as unbleached raw canvas cotton and painted with non-toxic, water-based acrylic paints.

Q: What do I do if my tote bag loses it's shape?
A: Simply fold two medium thick towels and place inside bag, hang for 24 hours and tote should retain shape.

Please keep in mind that if the following occur, changes to the tote bag may occur:

  • machine washed and dried with high temperature - tote may shrink
  • hand-washed with hot water/too much soap applied to spots - color may fade

Custom Orders

Q: Can I request a custom design?
A: Absolutely! Please email us at designssbymare@gmail.com with your ideas, and we’ll work with you to create your unique tote bag. Please note that customized pieces require more time and materials to create, and as a result, they are priced higher than our listed products.

Q: Can You Recreate Sold Designs?
A: Please note that every tote bag in the collection is one-of-a-kind and cannot be duplicated. If you see a bag you love and it’s sold, I sincerely apologize—it’s truly unique and handmade by me. I do not recreate the same designs but can attempt to replicate certain elements, or we can collaborate on a customized design just for you. Custom orders require a consultation to discuss your vision, preferred colors, and pricing, as these pieces take additional time and materials. Thank you for understanding and appreciating the exclusivity of my art!

Q: How long does it take to complete a custom order?
A: Custom orders typically take 2-3 weeks to complete, depending on the complexity of the design.
